FROM THE PASTOR’S HEART

We pay tribute to a great lady who inspired us to move beyond our limitations. Mom Thelma Perry Marcum or Mom Perry to all of us was a fireball or a bulldozer as she calls herself.  She moves forward with a passion in her heart to bring more souls into the Kingdom of God.   At the age of 92 she went peacefully to be with her love, our Lord Jesus Christ.  We will surely miss her!  See you later Mom!

The Good News Fellowship had its humble beginning in October 1980, when Church of God missionary Rev. Fred Buser and his family, together with Mom Thelma Perry Marcum, came to the Philippines and started work among the students of Baguio City. In faith, they leased a building at the corner of Otek and Carino St. which came to be known as the Good News Center, a Christian Dormitory and Students Center, where weekly worship services formed an integral part of the student activities.
